Rebrand the graphic design studio, building on its heritage of 35 years while updating its image to reflect the studios beliefs and ideologies.

Design Streak functions as a competition between interns. Clients come in and talk about what they want created for their projects. Working directly with the Creative Director, interns then execute the clients vision and after 2 weeks of work present their version of the finished product to the client. Clients then pick which they would like to go live with and use in the wild.
The new logo captures Design Streak’s format of the Intern, the creative director, and the client by being split into 3 pieces. All required to bring the clients goal to a reality.
The D of Design Streak is created with Times New Roman, the universities brand font, to connect to the studios core roots in education.
With each passing semester Design Streak conducts a rigorous portfolio review and only accepts the top students of the class. To reflect the constant flux of talent the logo has been built to be a flexible template. Each new group competes to have their design replace the previous interns imagery, keeping the logo dynamic and sharing the current collectives design style.
As the first logos designer I chose to hearken back to the origins of graphic design in letterpress ink and movable type.
