Illinois State University School of Theatre and Dance

Collaborating with Illinois State University, we developed a series of theatre posters to act as the key visuals for their upcoming productions marketing campaigns.

  • To underscore the fine art of the school's theater productions, I took an analog approach to all of these posters/key visuals. Each displayed below was meticulously handcrafted, with a minimum of 90% of the design work done by hand.

  • Art Direction, Key Visuals, Posters

  • Creative Director, Designer

It's a Wonderful Life

Holiday wreaths symbolize strength and overcoming of adversity as evergreens last even through the harshest of winters. This wreath hangs on the Bailey door to mark the beginning of their story. Entire poster is hand painted except for bottom logos.

It's a Wonderful Life

All text and writing in this poster is handwritten. I included 6 drafts of the declararion to represent each act of the play, the 7th being signed in the final act. Ink splatters are to symbolize the war and death happening during the signing of this document.

The Coffee Bar + The Walls
